Things are getting clearer for Filip Marchwiński. After a successful season with Lech Poznan (37 matches, 7 goals and 2 assists in all competitions), the 22-year-old attacking midfielder should not stay long in Poland. As we recently revealed, the Polish international (2 caps) is of interest to some big names. While Strasbourg approached his club to buy him, Anderlecht finally beat the Alsatians to the punch by offering Lech Poznan €3 million.

The favourite in this case, the Belgian club now seems out of the running since Lecce has proposed a higher offer than that of the Mauves, around €3 million (plus bonuses) to Lech Poznan, according to our information. Discussions between the two parties are ongoing and are moving in the right direction. Filip Marchwiński is expected in Puglia in the coming days to undergo his medical examination. Note that if Brest was also on the lookout, the player therefore seems to favour the Italian first division. A surprising choice at a time when SB29 is preparing to play in the Champions League.
