A-Town Down Under and New Catch Republic are going to WrestleMania.
The March 29 episode of WWE SmackDown featured the last two qualifying matches to determine who will round out the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Six-Pack Ladder match at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.
First, The Street Profits battled Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. When it looked like Street Profits had it won, Karrion Kross and Scarlett appeared on the tron after laying out Bobby Lashley and B-Fab in the locker room.
When Ford turned his attention back to the ring and attempted a frog splash, Theory was able to counter and roll him up for the three-count. Afterward, The Authors of Pain and Kross all attacked Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.
Later, Angel and Berto of Legado del Fantasma took on New Catch Republic’s Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne. The bout took place right after Angel and Berto were involved in a brawl with LWO, which left them at less than 100%. As a result, Bate and Dunne were able to put Angel away with a Double Burning Hammer to advance.
As it stands, The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest will now defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against #DIY, The New Day, Awesome Truth, Austin Theory & Grayson Waller, and New Catch Republic.
