Financial Fair Play: Manchester City to answer to independent committee on Monday

It’s time for Manchester City to be held accountable! As reported in unison by the British media, the reigning English champion will appear before an independent commission from Monday, September 16. Since the opening of an investigation in 2018, 115 financial fair play violations have been noted against the Manchester club between 2019 and 2018, i.e. during the first nine seasons following the 80% acquisition of the club by Abu Dhabi and during which four English championship titles were won by the Skyblues.

Although no final decision is expected to be made before next spring due to the scale of the case, the northern English team nevertheless faces sanctions ranging from a simple reprimand to expulsion from the Premier League, including the withdrawal of points if it were to be, in finefound guilty by the said commission in charge of examining the case.
