English clubs are trembling. The Premier League is serious about financial fair play. While Manchester City and Chelsea wait to know in what sauce they will be eaten, the governing body of the English championship has just pinned Leicester, after Nottingham Forest. Co-leaders of the Championship table, the Foxes are officially accused of having violated the rules of financial fair play of the PL.

“The Premier League today (March 21) referred Leicester City FC to an independent commission for alleged breaches of Profitability and Sustainability (RPS) rules and for failing to submit its audited financial accounts to the League. The alleged infringement relates to the assessment period ending at the end of the 2022/23 season, when the club was a member of the Premier League. (…) The procedure will take place in accordance with a timetable set by the Independent Commission, and its final decision will be published on the Premier League website.indicates the press release relayed by Sky Sports.
