A week after the defeat in the Europa Conference League final against Olympiakos, Fiorentina decided to appoint a new coach, succeeding Vincenzo Italiano at the end of his contract after three good seasons spent in Tuscany. Also at the end of his contract with Monza, Raffaele Palladino has signed with the Viola until June 2029. He spoke for the first time as the new coach of Fiorentina after signing his two-year contract which ties to the team, as revealed on French Football Weekly last month :

“I want to thank everyone for being here. I would like to thank President Commisso, whom I greeted by telephone. I was struck by his enthusiasm and passion, combined with his humanity. I am happy. I wanted to thank Ferrari and Pradè. They really wanted me to be here and in two minutes we reached an agreement on everything. I am proud and motivated to be here. I represent a prestigious club with a great history for these incredible fans.said the now new coach of the Viola.
