Five Manchester United players have made the latest shortlist for the Premier League Hall of Fame.

It’s hard to believe that they weren’t inducted into it already given each of their illustrious careers, especially the likes of Gary Neville and Andy Cole, the latter of which scored a remarkable 187 goals and notched 87 assists throughout his time in the top flight.

Stalwart centre-half – and perhaps the greatest in the Premier League’s history – Nemanja Vidic is on the list. He won five titles as a Red and formed a formidable partnership alongside Rio Ferdinand in Sir Alex Ferguson’s backline.

Michael Carrick has earned worthy recognition with his inclusion among the nominees, as well as world-class former shot-stopper Edwin van der Sar.
