After a difficult debut campaign at FC Barcelona, Vitor Roque will be hoping to make a fresh start under the management of Hansi Flick.
There have been question marks over his future at the club given his lack of game-time under Xavi Hernandez.
And even though reports suggest that Flick has decided to retain him and give him an opportunity, the Financial Fair Play situation makes things tricky.
With Roque needing to be registered from scratch, there remains a possibility that he is allowed to leave on loan if Barça do not have enough salary space.
There might also be a chance that Flick does not see enough from the 19-year-old during pre-season and decides a temporary spell away from the club might benefit the striker.
In that case, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona have five options to reinforce the centre-forward and provide cover to Robert Lewandowski.
Marc Guiu
Another teenage striker, Marc Guiu is rated highly within Barcelona, with former manager Xavi showing greater trust in the La Masia product than Vitor Roque.
The 18-year-old has two goals in seven senior appearances for the Catalans while also bagging five strikes in 14 matches for Barça Atletic. With a contract renewal in sight, Guiu could also stand to gain more minutes in the senior setup.
Ansu Fati
Having had a disappointing loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion, Ansu Fati will return to Barcelona this summer with huge question marks over his continuity. But the forward remains eager to succeed at the club.
Meanwhile, Hansi Flick wants to give the Spaniard an opportunity in pre-season and a good showing could convince Barça to revive their faith in their former No. 10.
Pau Victor
Barça Atletic’s top goalscorer this season, Pau Victor is currently on loan from Girona, but the Blaugrana have the option to make his transfer permanent for a small fee of €3 million.
The 22-year-old has netted 19 goals in 36 appearances for Rafa Marquez’s side while also registering five assists.
Borja Mayoral
One of the two players from outside the club that Barça are looking at, Getafe’s Borja Mayoral is understood to be on the table after his name was put forth by some intermediaries.
The 27-year-old finished the season with 15 goals in 27 La Liga matches – ending up as the joint-highest Spanish scorer along with Alvaro Morata.
Mason Greenwood
The controversial Manchester United forward spent the season on loan at Getafe and made a solid impression, so much so that Deco and Joan Laporta have taken an interest in him.
However, negotiations with Manchester United could be tricky who might ask for a sizeable fee for the forward.
