Before her demise, gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold had disclosed that she started her music career at the age of 5.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Aduke to have said she had her first song composition at that age.

Aduke Gold, known for her soulful voice and uplifting gospel messages, died on Monday, according to emerging reports.

As of the time of filing this report, the cause of her death is still unknown. Also, no official statement from her family or management yet.

In an interview with Seraph TV just before her death, Aduke, a native of Ilesha, Osun State, disclosed that though her musical career started at the age of 5 when she had her first song composition, it was not until 2004 she started music professionally.

In the interview, she questioned why it is that gospel artists are not endorsed just the way secular artists are endorsed.

“A secular musical artist gets a quicker endorsement within a blink of an eye. It’s rare when it comes to gospel ministers. We are hardly endorsed by brands.

“The only person I know who broke the jinx was the late Sammie Okposo, of blessed memory, who got endorsed by a telecommunication company. We have surpassed the level of recognition, but the endorsement area is hugely missing,” Aduke Gold said.

Speaking on the most challenging situation she ever encountered while growing up, Aduke said: “I fought so many battles to survive. My basic responsibilities are not exempted.

“Instead of giving kudos to myself, I would give everything to God cause if not for God, I might probably be totally ruined. God has given me many reasons to live, and I am glad I am a witness”.

She went further to sayd: “Marriage for women in the music industry is a big challenge. It is rare to find a person who will understand your calling and its duties.

“Most women in this ministry find it difficult to go beyond the roof of their husbands’ house due to many things they’re tongue-tied to. The ministry of every married woman has its reach when there is less understanding and support from their spouse”.

TNG reports, Aduke Penkele, as she was fondly called during her early days in the music industry, was mentored by Lady Evangelist Tope Alabi.

Aduke’s nickname, “Penkele,” was later changed by Lady Evangelist Tope Alabi, as to her, the name does not suit her personality.

She claimed her song titled “Nitori Ogo” was written from God’s given inspiration relative to her past personal experience.

Aduke sang along with the Late gospel minister Roland, popularly known as Baba Ara and others. In the a-list of Aduke’s role models are Chief Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade, Mama Bola Are, Mama Dupe Olulana, and lady evangelist Tope Alabi.

Aside music, Aduke is also a proven educationist, horticulturist, and entrepreneur with a record of many academic qualifications.

She bagged her first degree in History and International Relations from Lagos State University. She also attained her second-degree certification from the University of Lagos and many other professional qualifications.
