Flavor Flav is the biggest hype man at the 2024 Paris Olympics and he’s committed to making sure athletes feel supported while representing Team USA at the games.

The hip-hop legend already sponsored the U.S. Women’s and Men’s Water Polo Teams after learning that players on the teams had been working second and third jobs to support their dreams of competing at the Olympics. He’s been in Paris for the past week to cheer on the teams as they compete for Olympic gold!

Flav is now stepping up to support Olympic athlete Veronica Fraley after learning that she doesn’t have enough money to pay her rent this month. She’s a discus thrower for the U.S. Track and Field Team and has already won a bronze medal at the games.

Flav quickly replied, “I gotchu,,, DM me and I’ll send payment TODAY so you don’t have to worry bout it TOMORROW,,, and imma be rooting for ya tomorrow LETZ GO,!!!”

Alexis Ohanian also saw the story and offered to pay Veronica‘s rent for the rest of the year. He sent her $7,760 to cover rent through the end of 2024. He explained that he “paid 7,760 because I like the number (my firm is @sevensevensix).”

“I’m just happy to help those in need who are representing the best of all of us. This is exactly why I have been in Paris and trying to bring awareness of the hardships of some of these Olympians. While I’m here, I want to thank Alexis Ohanian for also stepping up, not just for Veronica, but for all female athletes,” Flav said in a statement to JustJared.com.

He added, “This is the power of using your platform in a positive way. You never know how one act of kindness can change someone’s life. Maybe this took some weight off her shoulders today so she can throw some real weight off her shoulders tomorrow and I hope she brings home a medal. She knows I got her back and people perform better when they know someone has their back.”

If you want to support Veronica, she has a verified GoFundMe page.
