Youssouf Fofana has been getting closer to AC Milan in recent hours. An agreement is now expected between ASM and the Rossoneri.
Having been a Monegasque for four and a half years and his transfer from Strasbourg, Youssouf Fofana is about to change his environment.
The French international and the red and black jersey of the ACM are heading to Milan. According to RMC, the interested party reached a contractual agreement with the Lombard institution today.
The 25-year-old midfielder, tied to ASM for another season, should soon commit to the Rossoneri until June 2028 – a new four-year contract.
Credited with four goals and four assists in 35 matches in all competitions last season, Youssouf Fofana was also on Manchester United’s radar, with the latter looking more towards PSG’s Uruguayan Manuel Ugarte.
Monaco, who were initially hoping for 30 million euros to sell their player, have already rejected Nottingham Forest for their tireless ball-grabber. AC Milan are reportedly working to limit this transfer fee as much as possible.
