Ahead of completing a move to the German giants, Dier has arrived in Munich as he finalises a deal.
It will see the 29-year-old reunite with his close pal Kane, who has been a sensation since signing for Bayern last summer from Spurs.
Footage captured by Sky Germany shows the defender touching down to undergo a medical on Thursday.
The fee is expected to be as low as around £3.5million with Dier entering the final six months of his contract.
Bayern could have waited until the end of the season where they could have picked him up for free.
But Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has been keen to bring in the Englishman quickly to bolster his squad with Bayern trailing in the Bundesliga.
The former Chelsea boss likes the fact he can play at centre-back and in defensive midfield, two positions he has been keen to improve.

The striker, who has scored 21 times in 15 Bundesliga appearances this season, recently moved out of a hotel he had been staying in since his move from Tottenham and into a new family home.
Dier's impending transfer to Bayern also comes a day after they lost out to Tottenham, incidentally, on the transfer of Radu Dragusin.
Spurs had clinched a deal with Genoa for the Romania international only for Munich to join the race at the 11th hour.
However, the 21-year-old decided to snub interest from the Bundesliga champions to join up with Postecoglou's men.
Genoa had accepted both offers from Tottenham and Bayern, with the former offering Djed Spence on loan as well.
