Former Tottenham player and Talksport pundit Jamie O’Hara has claimed he would love to see Spurs sign £80m-rated Manchester United player.
The player in conversation is Man United attacker Marcus Rashford, who has endured a difficult time at the club.
Rashford’s goal scoring form and his off the pitch activities have come under scrutiny in the last twelve months.
The English attacker has struggled big time in finding his form that made him one of the best attacking players in the world in the 2022-23 season.
However, O’Hara still wants to see Rashford at Tottenham and he feels the player has the X factor, despite his poor showing last season.
“I’ve got a soft spot for Rashford,” O’Hara said on talkSPORT Breakfast.
“I don’t know why because watching him last season frustrated the hell out of me. When he’s walking around at Luton and you’re thinking come on mate give me more, but he’s got star quality.
“He’s got the X-factor and if you get a manager who gets the best out of him you’re going to get a top player.
“He doesn’t get on with Erik ten Hag, that’s a problem that they’ve got to solve,” O’Hara added.
Marcus Rashford struggled at Man United last season.“You can’t have someone on £375,000-a-week just sitting on the bench not doing anything and not featuring and not being involved. He’s got to play, you’ve got to find a way of getting him in the team.
“He makes brilliant runs, but never gets the ball. Would you pay £80m for him? Yes I would, I would love to see him at Tottenham.”
There is no doubt about Rashford’s quality but he has to show his best again next season.
With new signings coming at the club and United determined to get back to the top of English football, the form of Rashford is going to be key for the club.
Man United have complete faith in Marcus Rashford
Erik ten Hag has managed to get the best out of the English attacker in the past and he can do it again.
The fact that Rashford has lost his place in the England squad should motivate him to perform better and regain his spot in the England team.
Man United have no plans to let Rashford leave the club and they have complete faith in his ability to perform in the future.
