They have something planned. We are officially on the Road To WrestleMania but there is something else to cover before we get to Philadelphia. In this case that means Elimination Chamber, which is taking place in about two weeks in Perth, Australia. As usual, the show will be focused on its namesake match and now we know something rather important for the card.

Earlier this week, Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes announced that he would be challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. This week on SmackDown, it was announced that the men’s Elimination Chamber match would be used to crown a #1 contender for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. A series of qualifying matches began this week, with Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre both qualifying. The remaining qualifying matches will take place next week on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown.
