Having decided to step away from his coaching position and end his romance with Liverpool last May, Jürgen Klopp made a resounding return to the world of football this week. Indeed, from January 1, 2025, the former German coach will be in charge of the football section of the Red Bull group. While the big brand of energy drinks manages the Leipzig club, Salzburg and soon Paris FC, some Borussia Dortmund supporters saw this as a great betrayal of the former BVB coach between 2008 and 2015. This is the case by Kevin Grosskreutz.

German champion under the orders of Klopp in Dortmund in 2011 and 2012, the attacking midfielder, fan of the Marsupiaux, declared that his former coach had made a “shit” choice at the microphone of Bild : “I woke up, I had 30 messages on my cell phone and I was already thinking: ‘What happened?’ I also thought I was in a dream, then hoped it was fake news. Two hours later, it was truly official. It was a shock and it’s sad. Somehow I still don’t realize. But as a fan, I no longer need to see him in front of the Süd (signal Iduna Park’s iconic stand). When we meet, I will personally tell him that I think it’s shit that he would do something like that. But he will always be a friend of mine, that’s just a fact. He is always welcome at home.»
