Another former employee of Kanye West is suing him. In the latest lawsuit, the 47-year-old rapper is accused of targeting Jewish staffers and sending hateful and antisemitic remarks, similar to his recent Twitter/X tirade, according to Variety. Keep reading to find out more… Filed by a “Jane Doe,” who was hired as a marketing specialist in December 2023, the lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and includes texts from Kanye to employees that include, “I Am A Nazi” and “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.” The antisemitic behavior reportedly took place between January and June 2024. According to the suit, Kanye issued an apology in Hebrew for some of his comments, but in January, the staffer “suggested that West denounce any ties to Nazism amid controversy over his forthcoming album Vultures Vol. 1. A co-worker relayed this advice to West, who responded in a text: ‘I Am A Nazi.’” The suit says Jane Doe was fired in March 2024, but was quickly rehired for double her salary. Then, in June, Kanye texted her and others, “What the F–k Is Everybody Here Getting Paid?” Shortly after, the rapper went on an extended rant in the group chat and compared himself to Hitler, and allegedly continued to attack the staffer, calling her ugly and stupid, and even saying, “Come destroy me b-tch,” before firing her the next day. Among the lawsuit’s claims include gender and religious discrimination, wrongful termination and more. “Ye waged a relentless and deliberate campaign of antisemitism and misogyny against my client,” the plaintiff’s lawyer, Carney Shegerian, shared in a statement. “His appalling treatment of women and fixation on Nazism, evident in abusive texts where he repeatedly calls himself Hitler, expose his motives. We need to stop excusing Ye’s behavior. As a father, husband, and employer, he must be held accountable. Ye dared my client to sue, and we will see him in court.” This is one of many lawsuits Kanye has faced in just the past year, including another former employee who claimed he made antisemitic statements. An America’s Next Top Model alum is also suing Kanye for assault on a music video set, a former security guard is suing for racial discrimination and more, Kanye‘s former assistant is also suing for drugging and sexual assault. Just this week, following his Twitter/X tirade, which included him calling himself a Nazi, his Yeezy website was taken offline after putting up a t-shirt with a swastika for sale.
