Andrea Capone has died at the age of 43. Il Messaggero reports to us that the former Cagliari player was found dead this Sunday in his hotel room at Palazzo Tirso. A mysterious death, because the Italian was found lifeless with several head injuries, without any explanation being 100% validated yet regarding the cause of death. The announcement of the death of the former midfielder, who played for Salernitana and especially Cagliari, his training club, came as a shock in Italy.
“Cagliari Calcio is huddled around the family at this moment of great pain. Rest in peace, Andrea”wrote his lifelong club on his X account. If the first hypotheses suggest an involuntary fall leading to death, the Italian media confide that the file has been transmitted and will be studied by the competent authorities, in order to shed all light on the death of the former professional footballer.
