Barcelona are gearing up for a crucial match this evening as they take on Cadiz at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

Coming on the back of a hard-fought 3-2 victory over PSG in midweek, we can expect Xavi Hernandez to make some rotations, as he keeps an eye on the second-leg encounter next week.

Heading into this game, Xavi has already called up a series of Barça Athletic starlets in the form of Marc Guiu, Marc Casado, Hector Fort and Mikayil Faye.

Another hectic week for Barça Athletic players?

All of these aforementioned players have been included in the Barcelona squad keeping in mind that the majority of first-team require some form of rest this weekend.

That means we might see them in action this evening, with Fort, in particular, in contention to start against Cadiz.

However, as reported by Diario SPORT, all four of these youngsters could face an intense weekend ahead – one that may require a lot of travelling.

That is because their services could be used by Barça Athletic as well, who are slated to take on Unionistas on Sunday.

A 578-kilometre travel awaits

Barça Athletic have already delayed their squad announcement until Sunday. In the event Rafa Marquez decides to call up any of these four players, they must travel all the way to Salamanca.

The distance between Cadiz and Salamanca is about 578 kilometres, which could take almost six hours by road.

Barça Athletic, who are locked in a title race with Deportivo La Coruna, might want to field the strongest eleven against Unionistas tomorrow.

Keeping that in mind, Fort, Casado, Guiu and Faye may all be subjected to such an intense travel schedule on Sunday.
