Yamal will turn 17 just a day before the final, which means he will still be younger than the current record holder, Portugal’s Renato Sanches, who was 18 years and 11 months old when he played in the Euro 2016 final.

The current record is held by Italy’s Pietro Anastasi, who was 20 years and 68 days old when he scored in the Euro 1968 final.
Yamal has the chance to break this record by more than three years.
