EXCLUSIVE: Fox has a new global TV distribution boss.

The company has hired Fifth Season’s Prentiss Fraser as President of Fox Entertainment Global. It comes two years after it launched the global sales arm and amidst a search for a statement hire to lead the team responsible for selling shows such as Joel McHale-led Animal Control and Dan Harmon’s animated series Krapopolis to international broadcasters and streamers.

Fraser was most recently President of Television Distribution at Fifth Season, which was formerly known as Endeavor Content. She joined the company, which distributed titles such as Killing Eve, in 2019 as EVP, international TV sales before being promoted in 2022. Other series sold included Max’s Tokyo Vice, Apple’s Severance and Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers.

She had previously worked in another division of Fox – Fox Networks Group – as EVP and managing director of content distribution before it was sold as part of the Disney deal.

Before joining that company, she had a 14-year spell at eOne.

At Fox, she will oversee worldwide distribution, formats and off-platform sales for the Fox network and Fox Entertainment Studios, which includes its scripted content unit, Fox Alternative Entertainment, animation studio Bento Box Entertainment, Gordon Ramsay’s Studio Ramsay Global, TMZ and indie film label Tideline.

She will be based in LA and start in a couple of months.

The company also sells titles such as I Can See Your Voice, Next Level Chef and its new Denis Leary starrer Going Dutch as well as animated series such as Grimsburg and Universal Basic Guys and Hallmark drama series The Way Home and The Chicken Sisters.

Last year, Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade restructured its divisions, making Fernando Szew, who founded MarVista Entertainment before it was bought by the company, Head of Fox Entertainment Studios. This move started Wade’s search for a high-profile international TV sales exec to run the unit.

“Prentiss’ world view, relationships and strategic mindset will be instrumental as we enter a new, prolific period of creativity, growth and expansion,” Wade said. “Distribution is central to our studio and network content strategy, and her appointment rounds out our senior leadership team, adding a respected, results-driven heavy-hitter to helm global distribution at a pivotal time for Fox Entertainment.”

“To build a new legacy for an established Hollywood studio brand is a rare and incredibly exciting opportunity,” added Fraser. “I look forward to joining Rob Wade and his fantastic team, as well as Fox’s talented creative partners and producers, in bringing the best in entertainment to platforms around the world.”
