Asked about BFM this Sunday, the Paris police prefect, Laurent Nuñez, spoke about the ultra-reinforced security system in view of the League of Nations meeting between France and Israel, Thursday, at the Stade de France. He also outlined the measures taken, such as banning Palestinian flags from the stands.
“For the PSG-Atlético match, UEFA’s reaction was very surprising. The Minister of the Interior recalled the rules (…) There cannot be a Palestinian flag (next Thursday). There can only be French or Israeli flags, and messages of support for the teams. There cannot be any political message, it is the law. In the stadiums, there cannot be any messages of a political nature”he announced.
