The first day of the 2024/2025 Nations League begins this Friday and France hosts Italy. At home, Didier Deschamps’ men are in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Mike Maignan in goal behind Jonathan Clauss, Ibrahima Konaté, William Saliba and Theo Hernandez. Youssouf Fofana and N’Golo Kanté make up the midfield with Antoine Griezmann a notch higher. Up front, Michael Olise, Kylian Mbappé and Bradley Barcola are partnered.

For its part, the Nazionale is organized in a 3-5-2 with Gianluigi Donnarumma who officiates as the last bastion. In front of him, we find Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Alessandro Bastoni and Riccardo Calafiori in defense. Davide Frattesi, Samuele Ricci and Sandro Tonali find themselves in the midfield while Andrea Cambiaso and Federico Dimarco play the roles of pistons.
