The FFF wants to regulate fasting
As we can read in The Team this Tuesday, for the first time officially, the FFF established this year a “general framework» regulating the practice of Ramadan fasting within national selections. The FFF, in the name of the principle of secularism, will not change the times of sessions, snacks or matches. The players concerned are therefore asked to postpone their fasting days outside of international training camps. This new rule will apply from under 16s to A. This decision is already causing “some tensions, and misunderstandings“.
Spain is on Deschamps' side
The Olympic Games can create some problems for Thierry Henry in France, this is also the case for the other big armored selections of young cracks who can participate in the Olympics and the Euro. According to A.S.Barça, Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal want to avoid a new “Pedri case» and oppose Lamine Yamal, Cubarsí, Nico Williams, Sancet and Baena doubling the Euro and the Olympic Games. The players, however, want to do the double this summer as they were able to announce in interviews given to several media. But otherwise, the newspaper A.S. puts Didier Deschamps in opposition to clubs who want to block players. The French coach gave his opinion on Real Madrid's refusal to send its players to the Olympic Games after the European Championship. He declared that this position was “a little outdated“. Sport even uses a more offensive title with “Didier Deschamps criticizes Real Madrid“. The Catalan media seem to be on France's side on this Olympics affair.
Juan Jesus does not let go of Acerbi
La Gazzetta Dello Sport devotes several of its pages to the Juan Jesus-Acerbi affair. As a reminder, the Italian defender would have insulted the Brazilian Napoli player of “Negro”. Arriving in Rome on Monday morning for the Italian team's American tour, Francesco Acerbi was excluded from the Nazionale gathering. The player told the pink newspaper that he “does notNever» having made racist remarks. Words that did not please Juan Jesus at all. In an Instagram message, the Brazilian maintains his accusations and denounces his opponent's version. “For me, the matter was closed on Sunday on the pitch with Acerbi's apologies and honestly, I would have preferred not to return to something as vile as what I had to endure. But today I read Acerbi's statements which are totally in contradiction with the reality of the facts, with what he himself said yesterday on the ground and with the evidence also shown by the videos and the lips without equivocation in which he asks my forgiveness. So I don't accept.»
