US Salernitana is having a difficult time in Serie A. Last in the championship, the Italians are chaining coaches without finding a solution. Stefano Colantuono was named yesterday as the team's new coach, the fourth different since the start of the season (after the departures of Paulo Sousa, Filippo Inzaghi and Fabio Liverani). To compose its staff, the Italian club had thought of a veteran of the house: Franck Ribery (40 years old). Last club of the rich career, the Frenchman played under the orders of Stefano Colantuono during the 2021-2022 season. But according to SkySportwho had first announced his arrival, Franck Ribéry declined the proposal.

The Boulonnais prefers to stay in Munich, with his family, according to the Italian media. The former French team international still wants to move towards a coaching career, but would favor a position with his favorite club Bayern. The one who stayed 12 seasons in the Bavarian club could coach one of its youth teams from next season.
