Frankie Kazarian hopes fans appreciate he’s still performing at a high level as he gets closer to almost thirty years as a pro wrestler.
WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with Kazarian ahead of TNA’s Mega On-Sale day. Kazarian returned to TNA in January 2023. He also worked for AEW, WWE and ROH in his 26 years (and counting) career. That longevity and reliability, he says, is something he still takes pride in and hopes fans appreciate what he’s continued to give back to pro wrestling.
“I’m very much a fan of longevity. In terms of any genre of… Guys that we saw acting in their early 20’s and are still doing it in their 70’s and 80’s, or bands. Obviously I’m a massive Metallica fan. They started basically in 1981 and here we are 40-plus years later. They are playing some of their best shows ever. You know, baseball players, football players, guys like Tom Brady. The older I get, guys like that are really inspiring to me,” Kazarian explained.
Frankie Kazarian is a fan of longevity, no matter what sport it’s in
“Anybody can get hot for a minute. Anybody can have a good three to five-year run and then they kind of fade away,” he continued. “I’m a fan of longevity. If you could do something at a high level for a long time, that’s a unique skill set, no matter what art or sport it is.”
Kazarian is proud of what he’s done so far. He noted that March 2025 will mark his 27th year as a pro wrestler. He’s blessed to not only still perform at a high level, but feels lucy to have the opportunity to do so as well.
“[Most guys now] don’t have careers coming up on 30 years that are still very active,” he noted. “So, I think that’s something that can be appreciated about me, if I can be humbled saying that.”
