Adrien Rabiot has been featured in the Manchester United gossip columns for years. It was the case again this summer once the France international became a free agent after his contract expired at Juventus.
Rabiot turned down a new contract at Juventus but multiple reports this evening claim he is in advanced negotiations to join Roberto De Zerbi’s Olympic Marseille.
The 29-year-old has reportedly spoken to AC Milan, Manchester United and Newcastle – without any of the clubs reaching an agreement.
It’s good news unless you want United to continue buying players past their best. There’s a reason none of the big clubs signed him this summer even though Rabiot performed well at Euro 2024.
The reports come from Fabrizio Romano, RMC Sport and L’Equipe meaning they carry weight. And, in turn it means that we will no longer need to deal with reports on Rabiot.

The former PSG midfielder is in advanced negotiations for a return to Ligue 1 with Olympique Marseille, with confidence growing that an agreement can be reached within the next 48 hours.
Former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is in the process of revamping his Marseille squad, after signing Mason Greenwood from United in the summer.
It is believed Rabiot will sign a two year deal ahead of his move to the French riviera.
