The Nice criminal court handed down its judgment for Wissam Ben Yedder. This Tuesday, the French attacker received a two-year suspended prison sentence for drunken driving, refusal to comply and sexual assault on the night of September 6 to 7.

The former AS Monaco player is also subject to a license suspension for a period of six months. In addition to a fine of 5,000 euros, justice imposes an obligation to provide care and compensation to the victim, a young woman of 23 years old.

During his hearing in mid-October, the prosecution requested two and a half years in prison, including eighteen months suspended. The 34-year-old then admitted the traffic offenses, but claimed not to remember the facts relating to the sexual offense.

As a reminder, Ben Yedder has been without a club since leaving the Principality club through the back door at the end of his contract in July 2024.
