Instead, he’s reportedly lined up for a monumental Elimination Chamber victory.
On the latest episode of the Dirty Sheets Backstage Informer podcast, Billi Bhatti broke down the evolving WrestleMania plans and revealed Cena’s role in the chaos. “We’re hearing things about WWE now not wanting to do Logan Paul versus John Cena,” Bhatti said. “I’m only saying that they don’t have that down as a match because I’ve also read those rumors as well. It does seem like John Cena is very much aligned to the world championship.”
Bhatti went on to explain that Cena’s WrestleMania path likely begins with the Elimination Chamber, not the Royal Rumble. “The last I heard, John Cena was very much penciled into Elimination Chamber, which would take him out of a program with Logan Paul. Unless, Logan Paul is going into WrestleMania as champion but I don’t think he is,” Bhatti stated.
Cena’s announcement as a Royal Rumble participant initially sparked rumors that he could win the match and headline WrestleMania. However, those plans appear to have shifted, with Seth Rollins emerging as the frontrunner to win the Rumble and pursue his own storyline arc.
