The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, has directed the deployment of personnel to enforce vehicular movement restrictions and ensure smooth conduct of the September 21 Edo governorship poll.

The corps marshal, in a statement issued on Friday by the FRSC spokesperson, Olusegun Ogungbemide, instructed FRSC officers to collaborate with other security agencies to ensure compliance with movement restrictions during the election.

He also mandated personnel to clear road obstructions, carry out rescue operations in case of emergencies, and maintain order at polling stations.

To support these efforts, the FRSC has deployed operational vehicles, tow trucks, and ambulances to strengthen enforcement and provide quick response during the election.

The corps marshal emphasised professionalism, urging officers to uphold the rights of voters and avoid any actions that could disrupt the democratic process.
