Marco Silva's side's most recent match, a 1-0 defeat in a Premier League west London derby at Stamford Bridge, has left them 13th in the league table, making them five points shy of the top half of the table, but eight comfortable points clear of the relegation zone.
The Cottagers have won five of their last six matches at home, which include two 5-0 league wins and a victory over Arsenal in another London derby.
Fulham have never made it this far in this competition before, their previous best result being a quarter final appearance, and with the London side never having won a major trophy in their history, this could be the perfect opportunity for them to break their duck.
Liverpool have won their last three games against Fulham, but have only managed a draw on each of their last two visits to Craven Cottage, though that would be enough for them on Wednesday to reach a record-extending 14th Carabao Cup final.
Silva has an unfavourable record against Klopp so far in their managerial careers, winning only one of their nine meetings, a record which the Portuguese is going to have to improve if he is to deliver silverware to Fulham fans for the first time.
