Gabe Kidd had some strong words for AEW and Tony Khan as he prepared for his match with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Dynasty.

The English star will be the first man to face the former AEW Champion in over a year. Their match on January 5th is Omega’s first since suffering from diverticulitis, an illness that almost forced Omega to retire.

While this is a huge match for both men in the Tokyo Dome, Gabe Kidd is not using the opportunity to draw the attention of Tony Khan in hopes of an AEW contract.

In a promo posted to NJPW’s YouTube channel, Gabe Kidd spoke directly to the camera about his match with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Dynasty.

He explained how he doesn’t care if AEW wants to sign him. Additionally, he added that wrestling means more to him than sitting in catering picking up his payslip.

Gabe Kidd claimed New Japan was being “disrespected” by the rest of the world and thinks its time to talk some trash on the world stage. He added that he’s happy to put Tony Khan in his place, should the need arise.

Gabe Kidd On Tony Khan And AEW

“I don’t give a damn if AEW wants to sign me. What, so I can show up on TV, be the new toy for a while, have a couple of matches on Dynamite, and then sit in catering for 23 weeks? Flying to Toledo, Ohio, to perform on a show in front of a crowd that’s already sat through five hours of wrestling? I have no interest in that whatsoever.”

“Wrestling means more to me than it does to these guys. I’m a professional. But it’s about time someone in New Japan stepped up and showed some real guts. We’re getting disrespected and taken advantage of by the rest of the wrestling world because we’ve been ‘professional.’ Maybe it’s time to stop being so professional. Maybe it’s time to talk a bit of trash.”

“And if anyone has a problem with that, they can come talk to me. I’ve got no issue pulling Tony Khan into an office and telling him what’s what. I’ve got no problem reading him the riot act and letting him know exactly how I feel. If that makes me unprofessional, so be it.”
