Gabriel Iglesias says watching Hulk Hogan get booed was painful, and WWE should have known better.
Iglesias was one of the many celebrities who attended the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere in Los Angeles. Several major stars and legends appeared on the show as well. Among others, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan addressed the crowd, and he was loudly booed.
Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias commented on attending the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere, and he noted that seeing Hulk Hogan get booed was painful. He also said that WWE should have known better.
“I love wrestling,” he said. “It was painful watching Hulk Hogan get booed last night. I’m like, wow. From great to hate. That was ugly. But at the same time, WWE should have known better. You know that Hulk Hogan’s been out there on this political train, trying to sell his beer and trying to be on the Trump train, so you take somebody like that and you put them in a blue state, in LA, what else was gonna happen? That might be the reaction.”
Hogan’s appearance came the same day that his Real American Beer was announced as a new WWE ring mat sponsor.
Hulk Hogan recently appeared in an advertisement for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Hulk Hogan On CM Punk
Hogan recently shared thoughts on some top WWE stars, including CM Punk. Speaking with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, he stated that he was a big fan of the former champion.
“I am a big fan of CM Punk. I just really pray that he stays healthy, you know,” he said. “I’ve never met him—had an opportunity to meet him, but I guess I missed the boat on that one. When I came back for one of the Raw shows, I was kind of out of my mind, flying back from LA with Rob Van Dam. So, I basically spent the whole night just trying to get my act together before going on camera, and CM Punk was apparently there. That was the only time I really had a chance to meet him.”
