General Hospital's Michael Easton Puts Doubt on Ever Returning as Dr. Hamilton Finn

Michael Easton recently said goodbye to General Hospital after spending the last 12 years on the show as Dr. Hamilton Finn.

Finn’s exit saw him going to rehab for three months to deal with depression that began after the death of his father.

Michael has put doubt on him ever returning to the show though.

“I think there was a finality [to my exit], and there was a finality for me to it, too,” Michael told SoapHub.

Michael hopes to find a new role on a different show. He said, “I mean, I’m not done. I’ll [be] trying to find that right part, that next great storyline… I don’t know where that will come from.”

Michael admitted that he wanted his General Hospital exit to play out differently.

“From an acting standpoint, I would have liked to have just brought a little more subtlety and nuance to it,” he said. “I had to get to a point very quickly.”
