In a bit of a surprise turn of events… Lance Barber is set to appear on an upcoming episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage! The actor will reprise his Young Sheldon role of George Sr, who died in the final season. Now, series co-creators Chuck Lorre, Steve Holland and Steven Molaro have confirmed he will reprise the character and just how they will do it. Keep reading to find out more… “George is thinking about his dad, and he’s sort of worried that his dad might be disappointed in him,” co-creator Steve Holland shared, via TV Line. “And so, his dad visits him in a dream. [The idea] came out of a conversation we’d had with Chuck [Lorre], even early on, talking about the show. Chuck had said about his own father that he still dreams about him, he still visits him, so that was a thing we had thought about. And then when we were breaking this episode, it just seemed like a great opportunity to bring George back.” Previously, Steve Holland said that they would never bring George back from the dead, and would only have him back if it made sense. “If we found the right sort of emotional reason for Georgie, and it didn’t just feel like a stunt — like, here’s George Sr. crawling his way out of the grave — and we treated it respectfully, it would be great to have Lance back on,” he said in November.
