Rennes, Hoffenheim, Leeds and now Brighton. This Monday evening, Georginio Rutter signed with the Seagulls from Leeds. To recruit him, the club from the south of England paid no less than 47 million euros, the price of his release clause. The 22-year-old striker has signed until 2029 with his new team and comes to strengthen an already well-stocked attack including Simon Adingra, Evan Ferguson, Kaoru Mitoma and Joao Pedro.

His new coach, Fabian Hürzeler, expressed his joy at the idea of attracting the Plescop native: “Georginio is a player who has the ability to get fans out of their seats and really showed what he can do in English football with Leeds last season – but I’ve known him since he played in Germany for Hoffenheim. Now he needs to be integrated into the team. We’re looking forward to working with him.»
