Getafe-Real Madrid: the spat between Mason Greenwood and Jude Bellingham makes a lot of noise

While the transfer window was slowly closing its doors, Real Madrid traveled to its suburban neighbor, Getafe, for the 20th day of La Liga. Casa Blanca did the job by winning 2-0 thanks to a double from Joselu (14th, 56th). This success allows Carlo Ancelotti’s men to regain the lead in the championship with a two-point lead at the expense of their last rival for the title: the astonishing Girona.

So far so good but in reality, an incident took place during the meeting. At the time of the incident, he went completely unnoticed. In a rather furtive image, we can see Jude Bellingham insulting his compatriot Mason Greenwood. The midfielder would have released a “rapist” at the head of his evening opponent. It was a video clip posted on social networks that sparked the affair.

Bellingham allegedly called Greenwood a rapist

Except that for the Azulones, this insult is serious enough to have the images analyzed by the supervisor of the Spanish football league (LaLiga). The club noted this incident in its report so that the Madrilenian could be sanctioned after having the facts noted. La Cadena Ser, who revealed the affair, nevertheless specifies that Getafe does not intend to file a complaint. It shouldn’t go any further.

On the other hand, this story is already making noise in England, and for good reason. As a reminder, if Mason Greenwood arrived in Getafe this summer, it was because of the accusations of domestic violence and attempted rape of his partner to which he was subjected. The English police finally dropped their charges a year ago but the player’s reputation took a hit. The Mancunian has gone to be forgotten in Spain… or not.
