The Ghana Baptist Convention is urging its members to engage in introspection, examining their faith and embracing a mindset of humility, love, and selflessness in their service to others.
This call to reflection is aimed at inspiring members to live a life of purpose, one that is characterized by a deep commitment to serving both humanity and God.
According to President of the Ministers Conference of the Ghana Baptist Convention, Reverend Dr. Charles Owusua Ampofo, being a true servant of God extends far beyond mere attendance at church services. Rather, it involves embracing a lifestyle marked by humility, love, and a willingness to serve others. This, he emphasized, is the true essence of living a life that honors God.
By recommitting themselves to this noble pursuit, he said, members of the Ghana Baptist Convention can experience a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment, as they strive to make a positive impact on the world around them.
Reverend Dr. Ampofo's speech marked the beginning of a year-long celebration of Victory Baptist Church's 40th anniversary. The church, located in Ayigya in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti region, has been dedicated to serving the community, spreading the Gospel, and fostering spiritual growth for four decades.
The anniversary celebrations will include a range of activities, such as medical outreach and evangelism, aimed at giving back to the community. Other exciting projects planned include water Borehole Construction, a special ceremony to consecrate the church building, and renovating a ward at KNUST hospital to support healthcare services.
"Serving God is not just about attending church services but about living a life of humility, love, and service to others," Rev. Dr. Ampofo said.
Reverend Dr. Ampofo's message, delivered under the theme "Celebrating God's Unchanging Promises," emphasized the importance of seeking out opportunities to serve others, both within the church community and beyond.
He noted that this call to action coincides with a period of introspection for the church, as it reflects on its core mission and purpose.
Seizing the milestone moment, Reverend Dr. Ampofo encouraged members to embark on a journey of spiritual revitalization, deepening their commitment to their faith and emerging stronger and more dedicated servants of God.
