Otto Addo has been re-appointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as head coach of the Black Stars.

Addo’s re-appointment was announced by Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

“Borussia Dortmund and talent coach Otto Addo will part ways in the summer as he embarks on his new role as coach for the Ghanaian national team,” the club said in a statement.

“We wish him nothing but the best as he embraces this exciting new chapter in his career!

“Thank you for everything, Otto!”

It remains to be seen if Addo will be in charge of the Black Stars squad, when they take on Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a friendly game on 22 March, 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Addo led the Black Stars to eliminate the Super Eagles in the qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

He left his position as Black Stars coach after the team crashed out in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
