Gillie Da Kid lost his son, Devin Spady, in July 2023 during a triple shooting in Philadelphia. Spady was known as YNG Cheese, and his dad didn’t publicly open up about his death until a few months later. Most recently, he revealed that a teenager who was allegedly involved in Cheese’s death has also died.

Gillie Da Kid Shares More Details About Noah Scurry
Speaking to Shannon Sharpe, Gillie Da Kid said that the police called him to inform him the 17-year-old suspect was murdered. The ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ host said he didn’t know Noah Scurry. However, police informed him that he was murdered and died after being shot multiple times.
“Cause the kid had just got shot 17 times he was walking with his mom and he got murdered, and then the police notified me and let me know that he was one of the kids that was pretty much about to get locked up for the murder, but he got murdered first,” Gillie told Shannon.
While Scurry is allegedly responsible for Devin Spady’s death, Gillie Da Kid said it was a “wrong place, wrong time” situation. The bullets Noah allegedly fired in the 2023 drive-by weren’t meant to strike Cheese. As for Scurry, TMZ reports that he was a rising basketball star in the Philly area. At his high school, he reportedly had the highest SAT scores.
Gillie Da Kid previously opened up about YNG Cheese’s passing away last September.
“The worst time had to be… well, it was kind of the worst and the best,” he explained. “The worst time had to be when I had to wash his body… That was the worst. But it was all the best — because I became a man that day…,” Gillie shared on ‘The Pivot Podcast.’
