We played to avoid going down. But now, we’ve gone beyond that. We’re at the very, very bottom. I didn’t think that could happen to the Girondins. There was inevitably a cycle of bad choices, and this is where we’ve come to. We’re wrong on every level.”judges the 71-year-old technician.

The Girondins de Bordeaux must now present to the financial policeman of French football a budget for the coming season in National 1. The threat of being relegated to an even lower division looms larger than ever.
