At the end of his contract at AC Milan, Olivier Giroud has no news from his managers regarding a possible extension and, as one of the French international’s agents reveals, an XXL offer from Saudi Arabia is already arrived on the table…

Still essential at the forefront of AC Milan’s attack for his third season in Italy (12 goals and 9 assists in 27 matches in all competitions), Olivier Giroud seems on the start… The 37-year-old French international is at the end of his contract next June and his managers have not offered him an extension. There is no negotiation. Do the Rossoneri plan to turn the page on Giroud to recruit a younger, world-class striker? It’s quite possible and it would be a shame…

Italian agent Vincenzo Morabito, who works with Giroud, assures Radio CRC that the 2018 world champion will decide on his future at the end of the season. In the hope of obtaining a new short-term contract from AC Milan in order to stay and possibly play understudy for a Jonathan David or a Joshua Zirkzee. If this is not the case, the Isérois could join an MLS club but also Saudi Arabia.

Giroud has refused Saudi Arabia, for the moment…

He feels good in Milan, but he also has to think about his family. He refused money from Saudi Arabia because he is not too interested in money and because he has a good contract at Milan, but I think we have to wait. In the meantime, he will give everything for Milan », specifies the Italian intermediary. A golden bridge offered by a Saudi club could convince Giroud to play one or two seasons in the Middle East.

Giroud would then find two former teammates from the French team, N’Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema, as well as the many natives of France who play in this championship (Édouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Romain Saïss, Aymeric Laporte, Marcel Tisserand, Seko Fofana, Fayçal Fajr, Riyad Mahrez, Allan Saint-Maximin, Karl Toko Ekambi or Moussa Dembélé).
