The Quintessential Knockout Gisele Shaw has been granted her release from TNA.
This news is being reported by Fightful Select as the following has been released:
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that Gisele Shaw has effectively finished up with TNA Wrestling. We’ve learned that Shaw recently requested her release from the company, and it was granted on the condition that she work the Louisville tapings and put over someone on the way out. That match ended up being filmed this weekend. Sources claimed that TNA worked smoothly to grant the release and didn’t put up a fight in keeping her around.
The 35-year old Shaw had been involved in an ongoing feud with Tasha Steelz, beating her at the Tampa tapings. While she didn’t win any titles in TNA, she competed for the TNA Knockouts, Tag Team, ROH Women’s World Title, AAA Reina de Reinas Title and NJPW Strong Women’s Title during her nearly three-year run in IMPACT/TNA. During that time, she was also PROGRESS Women’s Champion.
Shaw is booked for Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling later this year. We’re told that those in TNA expect her to be a regular there.
