Sofyan Amrabat is aware of the significance behind Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final tie with Liverpool.
The Morocco international insists the Reds will give absolutely everything to knock the Premier League chasers out of the FA Cup as United look to return to Wembley where last season’s final was lost against Man City.
Fans need something to feel positive about and there hasn’t been a lot to boast about on the pitch this season. That could change this weekend, mind.
Speaking to club media ahead of the match, the 27-year-old makes it clear he knows maximum effort is needed on Sunday to get the desired result, in front of our fans at Old Trafford.
“Like you said, it’s the do or die or the eat or get eaten,” Amrabat said, as per ManUtd.com. “So we have to be ready. We have to be prepared. It was like I said, the pull is strong, but they want to win and we want to win.
“So we have to be hungry. We have to. We have to fight for every metre, to give our lives, and yeah, do or die.”
None of our players should need extra motivation to beat Liverpool this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp is leaving Anfield in May and the Scousers are trying to plot their very own happy end, and I would love to see us contribute by spoiling it for them.
