EXCLUSIVE: Glass House Distribution has bought worldwide rights to The Plastic Men, an indie feature from Samuel Gonzalez Jr (The Retaliators).
The psychological war drama, which is inspired by a true story, stars James Preston (Joshua Tree 1951: A Portrait of James Dean), Aaron Dalla Villa (The Wrath of Becky), and William Fichtner (Heat, The Dark Night) as the narrator.
Pic follow Vietnam veteran Jonathan Teller, who suffers from guilt and paranoid delusions. He decides to take his own life, but as he struggles to come to terms with his choice and reality, a chance encounter changes everything.
Gonzalez Jr. is writer and director, with Matthew Hersch and Gigi Gustin (Night of the Missing) producing along with Gregori J. Martin (The Bay). Melanie Martyn is the executive producer, and she and Gustin will also star.
Hearse Productions is making the film, which is set to release in early 2025. Glass House plans to launch sales at the AFM, which begins November 5.
Gonzalez Jr. and Gustin are also working together on Stiletto, which is about a serial killer with a foot fetish who stalks and kills his favorite dancers.
