Manchester United are being linked with more centre-backs this week.
Juventus star Gleison Bremer appears to be on his way out of Turin this summer, with reports suggesting that he is a Manchester United target.
United must find an adequate partner for when Lisandro Martinez returns to full fitness. While Harry Maguire has performed well this season, I would still argue we need someone more suited to how Erik ten Hag wants to play football out from the back.
I suspect Bremer won’t be the only defender on United’s radar. We should plan for at least two new additions in the defensive department.
According to a report by TuttoJuve, Bremer is now ‘attracting interest’ from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News earlier today, Bremer is a player United are monitoring ahead of the summer with the team in dire need of defensive improvements.
The Reds need to strengthen their centre-back options with the addition of two new faces.
A player with Bremer’s experience would go a long way towards improving our defence, though it remains to be seen if United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League will prove to be an obstacle.
Let us know in the comments section if you think United should sign Bremer in the summer.
