The GMR Group has denied claims that it owes Rs 600 crore to the Telangana state government. This issue was brought up by Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.

In response to a story published on Monday, the GMR Group clarified that there is no revenue-sharing agreement between the Government of Telangana and GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).

The concession for the RGI Airport was granted by the Government of India (GoI). According to the agreement, GHIAL pays its revenue share to the GoI, not to the Telangana government. The GMR Group emphasized that GHIAL only owes land lease rent to the Telangana government, which has been paid regularly without any defaults.

The GMR Group stated that the claim of owing Rs 600 crore to the Telangana government is false and baseless.
