He shared that he will be having his retirement match in 2025 and that Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque approved his request. You can see the appearance below:
It is unknown who his opponent will be. However, during the recent Bad Blood premium live event, Goldberg was provoked by World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, leading him to leap over the barricade and attempt to confront The Ring General.
Goldberg last wrestled for WWE in 2022, making a triumphant return to challenge Universal Champion Roman Reigns to a match at Elimination Chamber. Originally scheduled for WrestleMania 36 two years prior, this highly anticipated match finally took place. However, he lost via technical submission, and this was his last WWE match as his contract expired at the end of 2022, and WWE failed to renew it.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is rightfully deserved, as Goldberg deserves one final retirement match. WWE has to be careful who they put him in there with because you would think that Goldberg would need to win with one final spear and jackhammer. Either way, it will be great to see this legend get his proper sendoff!
