WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was recently a guest on 93.7 The Ticket based near Lincoln, Nebraska, where he discussed several topics. Among them was his relationship with AEW and if he would consider joining the promotion.

Below are Goldberg’s comments:

“I’ve talked to him [Tony] a number of times throughout the past. This is where you’re gonna get the most blunt answer you’re gonna get from me. The product is too cheesy. The product is too cheesy. It doesn’t deserve to have, whatever, now you’re really gonna get me going. But if there was a comparable, viable option as a competitor that would allow me to still look myself in the mirror after I was a member of their roster? Yeah, then it would be a consideration. But not a chance.”

Tony Khan has said in the past that he has had conversations with Goldberg, but there has been no mention of whether he would be going to AEW or not.

Editor’s Opinion:

I had a feeling that this is might would happen, I just don’t think Goldberg would be a good fit for the promotion. His style doesn’t complement what AEW does, and I don’t think he would be very happy there.
