Goldberg’s recent status as a free agent after his WWE contract expired led fans to wonder if he would retire or have one last match. However, his surprise return at the Bad Blood event definitely wasn’t expected by many, leaving fans and analysts astonished. Many wondered if he would appear at Crown Jewel this week and now his status for the event has been revealed.
At the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, tensions escalated when WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER confronted Goldberg. While Goldberg was in the audience with his family, GUNTHER taunted him, calling him a “one-trick pony” to get a reaction. As Goldberg tried to respond to the provocation, security intervened to stop him from entering the ring.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are no plans for GUNTHER vs. Goldberg at either Survivor Series or WrestleMania and this made fans feel Goldberg might make his way to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel this week.
PWInsider reports that Goldberg will not be appearing at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia this weekend. According to their sources, whatever plans WWE has for Goldberg and GUNTHER in the future will not be advanced at this event, since Goldberg will not be present.
WrestleVotes also noted that there are plans for Goldberg in the future, but further details regarding his involvement were not provided. Therefore, it’s uncertain when the WWE Hall of Famer will return to WWE television, but fans are definitely eager to see him back in action.
