The series premiere of The Golden Bachelorette aired this week and now we’ve learned some alleged troubling details about contestant Gil Ramirez. Gil was one of the 24 single men who were introduced to Joan Vassos during night one of the new series, featuring senior citizen men vying for the love of the 61-year-old widow. People has uncovered documents that show Gil has been accused of stalking an ex-girlfriend, who filed for a temporary restraining order against him just three months ago. Keep reading to find out more… The woman requested a domestic violence restraining order, but clarified that she was not physically injured by Gil. She wrote in the request, “Despite telling him to not contact me, come to my house — he made repeated unwanted contact with me, family members and friends. 25 attempts daily via phone, texts, video. Although lives an hour away — showed up at places I frequent to confront me on a daily basis.” The woman said the alleged harassment had been going on for about two weeks at that time. The temporary restraining order was granted on June 11 and a hearing was scheduled for July 2, but it had to be postponed as the court was unable to serve the order to Gil. A source told People that production on The Golden Bachelorette began just days before the restraining order was requested, which is probably why Gil couldn’t be served. By July 24, the case was dismissed and the order was dropped. The source close to production told People that “this filing occurred in the brief period between completion of our thorough background investigation and exhaustive vetting process, and the beginning of production.” After producers learned about his info, they “further edited his already limited screen time and minimized him in promotional assets moving forward.” Want to know who wins The Golden Bachelorette?
