Nigerian gospel singer Lawrence Oyor has spoken out about his astonishment at seeing popular crossdresser Bobrisky dancing to his hit song “Favour”.
In a recent sermon, Oyor shared his surprise at the viral video, which showed Bobrisky, known for his controversial online presence, enthusiastically dancing along to the song.
Oyor admitted that his initial reaction was one of disbelief, and he almost disowned the song. However, he took a moment to reflect on the situation and realized that his music is for everyone, regardless of their background or lifestyle.
The singer’s surprise stems from the fact that Bobrisky’s public persona is often associated with controversy and explicit content, which may seem at odds with the values and message of gospel music.
Nevertheless, Oyor’s song “Favour” appears to have transcended these boundaries, resonating with Bobrisky and prompting him to dance along.
However, the singer remains committed to spreading his message of love and redemption through his music, regardless of who is listening.
The gospel singer said, “I saw one of our guys, the most unexpected guy on the internet, singing ‘Favour.’ I almost denied the song.”
“I know some of you didn’t see it, but I don’t know how it got to me—someone sent it. I saw Bob, a very risky Bob, singing ‘Favour he surrounds me like a shield.”
“I had to watch it three times, the shock! You too? And he said that song is the summary of the message. I have never doubted myself like that before. How? Like I told you last week, something is happening.”
